Been thinking about a valid approach to life lately.

Mostly in the sense of: what is it that I should be focused on in order to live life in the best way that I can. I mean. There ought to be a manual for that, but there doesn't seem to be. Not sure why.

And I am not talking about the realm of philosophy and logic.

I am talking about the fact that I go grocery shopping and I am bogged down with choices of foods, drugs, and beverages that I can stuff into my body.

I am talking about how, as a human, I daily listen to these soups of noise that we call "music", but I have no clear idea as to why I care to do so or what those sounds really mean for me.

I could go on and on with the whole of human existence. Language, math, conversation, painting, art, industry, innovation, writing, on-wards and on-wards. Why do we break these things up? Why is there no framework for how to live a human life?

Anyhow. These were thoughts that were going through my mind the other day when I was looking through the cookbooks at the used bookstore nearby. I had trouble finding a good cookbook that approached the why and what of food, nutrition, and eating. Everything was a hack and slash of: "How to lose weight easy", "How to eat not animals", "How to cook so many meats" etc, etc. It was a lot of step by step get from point A to point B with no regard for the journey here.

Let's be real. Things die to keep me alive. I've never been given a satisfying answer as to how I should approach that knowledge. In a way, I am very annoyed with the vegetarian/vegan approach to that problem. They often times (and I do not blame them for this) see the problem, but sweep it under the rug by saying that they aren't eating animals so the problem is solved. But it's not. Sure it's a joke that carrot juice is murder, but for real, there is still a lot of death that goes into making a human go.

Got no answers so far, but I was gonna type up my current thoughts, neglect to spell or grammar check, and then move back to my problems.

I'll update this if I figure out anything relevant in the near future. Until then, have a good morning wherever and whoever you are.
